Mohammadists or Mohammadism (I use the word that Medieval Europeans, including Nostradamus, used to describe the religion now called Islam) Radicals and Jihadists must be defeated, plain and simple. They've been a thorn in America's side for 200 years now. It started with a group of Jihadists, called the "Barbary Coast Pirates" back in 1803, who were preventing us from entering the Mediterranean Sea, thus choking off essential trade. Before we start, let's get one thing straight; these people described as "pirates" are NOT the people we think of when we hear that name. Instead of Western Civilization Pirates, who wanted to raid merchant ships in a take-over robbery at sea, these pirates had a different agenda.

America was a NEUTRAL nation at that time and never attacked them. The Jihadists of that day followed an interpretation of the Koran that basically said that NON-MOHAMMADISTS MUST either convert to Mohammadism, pay a "tribute," or face death.

Therefore, the whole "U.S. Foreign Policy" cause for terrorism is diminished, although not destroyed.  It has been a factor because there are a number of instances throughout history in which our foreign policy has had detrimental effects on other countries such as FDR's policy towards Soviet Communist Stalin and essentially giving him a free hand in Eastern Europe in the closing months of WWII, an act that resulted in MILLIONS of Soviet/Communist murders and 40 years of tyranny in Eastern Europe.

This aside, the Radical Mohammadist Pirates held power because they controlled entrance into the Strait of Gibraltar that separates Spain from North Africa. For years the French and English and everyone else, just paid the tribute figuring it was just a "part of doing business." We, on the other hand, were a very young country at that time and still had debt to pay for our Revolutionary War (Back then, our politicians believed in paying the National Debt.), and thus couldn't pay the tax. At the same time, we had to trade and get through the strait.

The President of that time, Thomas Jefferson was forced to send the Marines to try defeat these Jihadists, since it was our only option for survival. Thus, he did something our current President should have done, but never did do in Iraq; he had Congress OFFICIALLY declare war, in this case against a "group of saboteurs", rather than a nation. To this day, there is no official declaration of war against Al-Qaeda.

Jefferson was also forced to create the Official U.S. Navy, which was constitutionally questionable, especially since we won the Revolutionary War primarily with Battle Boats called "Privateers" - the equivalent of co-opting every private citizen's boat in America into "minute-man-boat-crews-of-citizens," but it worked.

We had far more mobility, and we essentially did to the British what would later be done to us in Vietnam - a guerilla army proving that even big powers cannot wipe out well-armed resisters.

With the new Navy in place, we sent forces into that area to stop them from killing our sailors. We beat them, and in the end their defeat essentially lifted the "tax" that European powers were just paying before. It was the first incident of unappreciated assistance we have ended up giving to Europe.

In today’s era, Radical Mohammadists are following the same interpretations as the 1803 Jihadists did. They've hijacked our planes, kidnapped Americans, and killed Americans for many years now. This isn't just a war against Jews. They also want to kill Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, and atheists, and as such, we should all be united against these vermin.

Arafat and also terrorist cell groups intimidated Christian Arabs out of the West Bank through violence, which caused the Christians to leave Bethlehem and other cities of Christian religion, much like how in the early days of the Third Reich, the Nazis forced Jews out of Germany. The fact is, until they learn to use non-violent means like Gandhi or MLK to obtain their goals, they are proving they have no right to have a "Palestinian State." They can't even account for the $1.5 Billion or so America gives them every year for so-called "food and medical aid."
